Fearless Generosity  is based on Ephesians 3:20-21 and explores how God has blessed us more abundantly than we can imagine. Four sub-themes and additional scripture texts are highlighted: "Fearless Living", Genesis 1 and 2; "Fearless Service", Luke 4:16-21; "Fearless Sowing", Mark 4:1-9; and "Fearless Giving", Luke 21:1-4. Found Faithful is based on 1 Corinthians 4:1-2. Abundant Joy, Overflowing Generosity is based on 2 Corinthians 8:1-7.  Taking time to listen to God's voice, fellowship with others, examining and using our talents and joyfully offering our financial support are the emphases of this theme. The stewardship emphasis "Percentage Living" encourages a holistic approach to stewardship through giving time, talents, financial resources, and worship to God. Saints Alive! Living Generously is based on 1 Corinthians 16:1-4. To inspire people to give generously, it is important to connect them with their fruits of their giving. Givers need to know how their gifts change lives and bring joy as hurts are healed, the lost are found, and the hungry are fed.  The evidence of how the love of Jesus Christ transforms lives through our gifts is the focus for this theme. More Than Enough uses 2 Corinthians 9:6-9 as the scripture basis. This theme invites people to be blessed as they bless others. As God's people invest their gifts and talents on behalf of God's kingdom, they experience God providing more than enough--more than enough to meet their needs, needs in the local community, and the needs of congregational ministry. New Love, New Mercy is based on Lamentations 3:21-24. This scripture leads us to understand that even amidst our troubles, the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. God's mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning! The scripture resonates with people who have experienced suffering. Blessed Be the Lord God is based on Luke 1:68. This theme invites congregations to mediate on the biblical songs of Advent as they discern their individual and household giving for the following year. Giving is a central theme in many Advent songs that is often overlooked. This theme focuses on restoring our response to the great gift of Jesus Christ. I Have Called You Friends is based on John 15:15. It springs from an understanding of the offering as a time to respond to God's grace. The offering is celebrated with joy. It becomes the expression of the Christ-centered community that is Christ-like in its compassion. Common Hope, Common Trust  is based on Psalm 18:28. This theme gathers God's people for food and friendship around a common table. Shared meals become places for sharing joys, anxieties, and stories; for giving with a new sense of freedom, thankfulness, and community; praising God, who leads us from darkness into light and freedom.  Generations of Generosity is based on Psalm 145 and encourages congregations to share their own stories of generosity and listen to others share their experiences as well. Go and See is based on Mark 6:38 where we read about the evening Jesus astonished his disciples by using a few fish and a loaves of bread to feed thousands of men, women and children. This theme seeks to encourage participants to experience discovery and wonder through a mission festival. Let God Lead
is based on Deuteronomy 26:2. The heart of this emphasis is an invitation to church members to consider God's leading when planning their giving, including through personal devotions, conversations with others, and in worship. Remember is a year-long stewardship emphasis emphasizing celebrating all forms of giving already taking place in the congregation. Increased giving becomes the natural outgrowth of an honest celebration of the contribution of God's people. Share the Gift is a variation of other stewardship campaigns like Pony Express, Personal Delivery, Run for the Roses, Pass Your Love Around,etc. Each holds in common the method of moving from one household to another, sharing opportunities to be involved in the congregation's financial life.
